I have a 12" VP torque converter that has the part number KB-149-PC stamped on it. I know it's from Kenne Bell, but does anyone know the stall specs on it?
    Thanks

That's about what I figured it was, but I haven't had a KB catalog for 20 years, lol.
    Thanks

I remember the same, KB 149 was the go-to variable pitch torque converter back in the day. I don't remember how many different versions they had, though. They added the Torrington bearings instead of phenolic thrust washers and they furnace brazed the fins/vanes. I've heard nothing but good of the KB converters.

NOT to be confused with Poston torque converters. which should be avoided.

Here is a scan of the KB price list from my 1998 KB catalog. By this time, KB was more into the V6 Turbo cars.

Thanks for the info guys, that scan is great. I remember pouring over those catalogs when I was a kid and wishing I could afford stuff. Wouldn't it be nice to buy that converter for $349 now a day's, lol.
    Thanks
