uh...ok. How did that work? I never found them in the classifieds and I was first in line here in parts for sale. Im not going to make a big deal about it but you really need to follow the rules here about listing parts. Your going to piss someone off.
You would think with thousands of posts dawildcat understands what the protocol is on the board too............
It's really weird but the ad is not under one of the sub-titles, but you can see it on the main page. It shows to be under the "Performance Parts" section viewing the ad, but when you click on Performance Parts it doesn't show up, and the subtitle is wrong.ou: It looks like dawildcat asked for a shipping quote on the same day and at the exact same time Jason did. I think the classified ad was done first then this Parts for Sale ad was next. Never a good ending when things are listed in different ads at the same time. http://www.v8buick.com/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=1530
It appears that the "for sale" message was posted in two seperate sections. Parts for sale and in the "classified for sale area. Dawildcat simply cut the deal in the classified area not in this one. It all appears up and up to me...:TU:
Guys, you probably didn't see the ad in classifieds because I jumped on it right after I saw it. Devon
Jason-I agree. I could not find them in the classifieds either. Not for nothing, "DAWILDCAT" would have been the first one to let everyone else know if things were the other way around-he is usually the first to let everyone else know when things arent done according to "the rules".
So it wasnt just me either. James had a difficult time finding them too. I dont hold anything against Devon. He did nothing wrong IMO. He answered the classified ad just the way he was supposed to. He was able to find the ad and post to it, unlike me. I do find it humorous that we posted replies at the same exact time. What I do have a problem with is with the seller. He posted them in two places. Not cool. When a part gets posted in "Parts for Sale", the parts for sale rules need to be followed. First one that responds with "im interested" get first shot. You should post parts in one section. Either in parts for sale or classifieds. Period. And as James said, these things dont end well when things are listed in different ads at the same time. Its not like I needed them anyway. They were just going to get hung on the wall.
I actually didn't think about it as a "dual for sale post", rather just figured it was an announcement about the classified ad. I've never bought from the classified section before and was surprised that the ad disappeared after I committed to the purchase. Took me awhile to figure out how that system works. But I agree, if an announcement was to be made, posting in "The Bench" would have been less confusing. And J...I'm gonna USE them! Devon
