Wow!!! A lot of people interested in this carb. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound as though I was in line. I was just curious about the price. I am NOT in-line. GLWS...

They are an older order. When did they start having issues? I got a a set of covers last year and they were fine.

Idk what everyone is "getting in line" for anyway since this is a "lead." Whoever wants the stuff should just PM Brian their contact info & if you really want the carb, along with an offer (a silent auction of sorts) & hope it gets passed along. Brian can do w/that info as he sees fit and in whatever order he wishes or not at all.

Yes,that might be the better way. I can’t give you a price on the carb because it is not mine, but he wants to sell it. The seat covers are as new as you can get. They were taken out of the packaging for the pictures. Anything like that currently has a lead time of 280 days from when you order it,so if you don’t want to wait, there you go. I also know someone else that has a pair of Legendary front deluxe bucket seat covers for 1970 in pearl white.

I am interested in the Pearl white covers.
Can you please provide contact information?

I’d be interested in info regarding the pearl white ones, too. The issues I referred to were that recently some people here had commented that their orders were not fitting correctly and that Legendary were less than helpful or willing to correct the problems. This was frustrating, given the fact that lead time was for months (the last time I called they told me 10 months +/-), and that they made you pay full price up front. I had asked here if PUI covers were now comparable or better than Legendary.

I paid Legendary $620 in for the deluxe bucket seat covers in December of 2021.
    They came in perfect.
Even bought their head rest covers too.
Had the entire interior done in my GS Skylark. Everything looks fantastic. Vet

If you have ANY problems with Legendary products, contact
    Legendary's COO, at
    BRidley@legendaryautointeriors.com.
His name is Brian Ridley, he helped me when I couldn't get help from Legendary's Tech support (or lack of).

Brian is a Classic car but like the rest of us. His office phone number is 1-315-331-1212.

I gareentee you, he will fix the problem, what ever it might be.

The only issue I have had with Legendary is with their headliners and how they fold and package them. It can compromise the material permanently. They really need to be rolled and shipped in a long box or tube. I showed this to them and they replaced it. Other than that,my 4 interiors have been great.

I had the same problem on the burnished saddle interior last year. Still cant get the creases out of the middle. I attributed it to having it in the box for a year and a half.

If you put too sharp of a fold or crease in that headliner material,it compromises the material. You can get white spots that will never come out. Think of it like this: take a colored piece of plastic and bend it. What does the color do? It turns white at the point of stress. They had my headliner tightly folded into a 12”x12” square and packed it at the end of a carpet box. How do you think that turned out?

To add more and important information to our forum regarding Legendary products service and support.
When I received my interior order for my 70 GS Skylark, I came under bad quality control and very bad Tech service support from Legendary.

Fortunately, I was able to get email addresses for the owner, COO and Sales Manager. The Classic car shop Service Manager I had working on my car couldn't get responses or results from the Legendary Tech.
I stepped in and sent an email to the owner of Legendary and his managers and got immediate response.
I have to say, the COO took over and did a great job for me, super nice and very knowledgeable guy on classic cars too.
He found their vendors door panels were not in specifications (dimensions wrong) and the vendors QC inspectors missed the defective panels they sent to Legendary.
You all will love this. The root of the problem, the 30+ year highly skilled sheet metal mechanic retired, and the newbie young guy didn't have the skills to make the parts correctly on a hydraulic metal press.
Can't beat highly experienced skilled craftsmen.

The other problems i ran into while my car was being worked on in the Classic car shop.
    (1) Super long wait times to get parts, is out of control.
    (2) The second huge problem, not enough highly experienced classic car mechanics. The older are cars get (50+ years & Older) the younger the mechanics are.

This is what I have run into > Young mechanic says to the old mechanic, Dude, where the fuel injection? What's a carburetor and that choke thing?
I can't work on this car, there's no ECM, how can I find out what's wrong with it?
You think you got problems, dude, you should see this car, has a stick, but doesn't have L-D-N-R or P, how the heck does this work
and why does it have 2 brake petals?

Sorry, I have to input some humor, or I will cry. VET
PS, in a post within this thread, I have included the name, email address and work phone number for Brian Ridley.
He is the COO of Legendary.
He is a Stright shooter, he's like us and a car nut too. He will go all out to help with any problems you have with Legendary
    products.

He has a very nice GTO, that's his below. Vet

Wow,I’ve never had to do any of that with Legendary. I just simply called them.

Back to the original post. I have documented all interested parties for the seat covers and the carburetor. The original car to this carburetor actually exists and the current owner has plans to “modernize it”,hence separating some rare parts from it. Modern seats, which would do away with the seat covers and original seats, but also under the hood. Once I learned of this,I encouraged my friend to try and pursue the car. I don’t know if or where he will get with it,but I will keep you guys posted. It’s a twin to what I parted out last year. Non AC automatic.

Brian, this was a very different case with Legendary. The door panels didn't fit my doors and Legendary's Tech had no clue why.
He what my shop to do, cut the width of the door panels to see if they were fit my doors. I said no way that was going to happen.

What he didn't realize, you know at the top of the door panels, the panels have a tapper angle, the angle gets larger as it gets closer to the mirror. What he didn't know, the tapper angle was way off. you could cut that door down all day long and it would have never fit the door.

His ability to diagnose the problem was very poor. We sent him tons of photos and he still couldn't put two and two together.
The COO found the issue right away. Even the mechanics at the classic car shop couldn't figure it out either.
They had never seen this issue before. So, this was new to them. Who knew this could happen.

Another example, when the shop bought a new Holley carburetor for my car from Holley. The Holley came in with a deformed casting.
Leaked a ton of vacuum. How do you suppose that got past the QC inspectors at Holley?
I don't believe I've ever seen such poor QC and manufacturing of auto parts in the 50+ years I have tinkered with classic cars. VET

    Apologies in advance....

This forum was created to notify members of cars and parts that are for sale, preferably with a price. I think we all know the value of both items listed in the original post.

Until then, I think we're good here.
