I wanted to pass along having success with expanding a exhaust pipe one size up for a slip fit using the Lisle expander. This is a heavy duty unit that you can use your air impact on or in my case I had a Harbor Freight electric impact that I use for taking lug nuts off and it worked perfectly... The trick is to go slow and expand and then loosen the tool and turn and then expand until the pipe stretches to slip over the same size diam pipe..Making sure that it is heavly greased so it doesn't bind. I was changing some of my 2.5" aluminized exhaust and wow was I surprized how well this tool works.. Lisle sells different size colletts for it so it will fit small diamter pipes all the way up to 3.5" if needed. I also used the Lisle 31500 pipe cutoff tool to make a nice straight cut and it worked flawlessly too... So for anyone out there doing a custom exhaust and thought that they had to pay a muffler shop to expand pipes there is a product on the market that actually will do it right in your driveway instead of making trips back and forth to a muffler shop. :TU: thumbs up from me on Lisle! <CENTER></CENTER> Dan C.
