Oh hey. It's going really well. I had an issue with the sun shell that got replaced and the gasket on the gear lever leaked but I got that all fixed up and it goes like a champ. I still think it shifts into 4th a little early (45ish) but I've heard that I would need to change to a better valve body to fix that. I got the motor rebuilt with a bunch of upgrades last year. So now I've been cruising it around a lot lately. I love it. In town I just stay in "third" and I'll shift into OD when I get on the highway manually. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
I got my 200R4 came out of an 88 Monte SS from a guy that was advertising it on Craigslist. A buddy who rebuilt the trans asked me to hook up a gauge to the side of the tranny and monitor the fluid pressure. He said 60 PSI was the ideal reading. It read about 30 when I first cranked it up. Adjusting the TV cable, I was able to get it to the proper pressure. I love the low end power with the 342 rear end. The trans hits all the shift points the way I want and finds OD heaven on the freeway ! Other than getting the perfect Qjet from Ken at Everyday Performance, this has got to be my favorite modification to my 71 GS ! JB
