I'm sure this has probably been asked before but I would like to know the most likely cause of the engine loading up at idle and what are the best ways to check for evidance of this happening? I never experienced this before that I can remember but I think that it is happening to me know. If my 350 hasn't fully warmed up and been driven 6 or 7 miles it wants to just die when I'm sitting at a light. If I put it in Neutral it's not so bad but I still have to give it a little gas to keep it running. In gear it will die in a matter of seconds. It just starts idleing slower and slower until it stalls. Any Ideas? Is this really what is refered to as Loading up? Thanks for any input.

Jason have you checked allyour filters lately or the filter going into the carb(quadrajet?)?You may have some crap clogging your jets in the carb or possiblt a bad sock on your fuel tank pickup tube.Just some places to start.:Do No:

Jeff all the filters are good and the carb is a Demon. I have new filters every where. I've looked at the plugs and they don't seem to be fouling or any thing like that which would lead me to believe the carb is excessively rich. Not to mention I've had the carb richer before with out major problems. Thanks for your reply
