    And it wasn't me.:TU:

Really I got what I wanted with the pics for proof. I have to admit after six years of faithful watching I was wondering a little if they actually were factory made.

Then as Jeremy said "Christmas came early"

Watch for parts on ebay. Wouldn't that be a crime? I like better what you did, Brian. Get a solid car, resurrect a replica, and do it right. :TU:

Another original 4-door Super Marauder available for sale. It is a confirmed J8 vin code but no picture is provided. Belongs in a museum. Not my car, but contact below if interested:

    Thanks for the post.

Another original with Chrome valve covers...the "experts" say the factory ones were aluminum.

This one a Park Lane and the other a Monterey. I saw an ad for the tan car that said 400hp was only available in the Montclair

Some have even said mine wasn't a Monterey because it has one strip of fender and door trim. Not knowing on the Monterey the one strip trim is 15U-4 and the two strip trim is 15U-5.

Glad to see another J8. I have seen others advertised as J code but it was the third Vin position which meant it was built at Los Angeles #2 assembly.

I love those cruiser skirts...:bglasses: When the 57 Fords came out, there were 3 or 4 Fairlane 500's that used to come out to the drive in every Saturday night. Fastest was a black and white 2 door HT, I really liked one of the convertibles, a red and white one with a continental kit and skirts.

He tried to park it in the first row in front of the concession stand with the top down (little show off, why not?) but it was so low and so long that it dragged on the rear bumper as he went in and couldn't go forward or backward. Ended up raising it up enough to get a floor jack under the frame just in front of the rear tires so he could back out of there. Great show!

We told him the ramps at the bac had less slope than the front ones, may want to park there. He liked the idea, but his girlfriend didn't.

That black and white HT was fast (stick shift), but the 55-57 Chev's ate him alive. The drive in was on a straight stretch of 2 lane highway (Ky 95) and you could see for a mile in each direction. White stripes were painted across the road marking the 1/4 mile and there were races out there almost every weekend night...:bglasses:

Also a lot of them in the afternoon by the people that worked there...:TU:
