A '72 with X paint and a Suncoupe. Is that possible? I remember reading somewhere that GS Suncoupe was possible in '72 but a GSX Suncoupe?

Im not thinking its an "X" but with the GS hood that would be a nice find if its a real GS SunCoupe. Now I just have to figure out where the heck it is relative to streets and the train trax

Anyone know production #'s on 72 GS SunCoupes ???

I don't know the actual production numbers. But in the December Issue of Hemmings Muscle Machies page 114, someone bid for $ 25,000 for a numbers matching 72 Stage 1 sun Coupe.

    I hope this helps.

Very cool Alan, keep us posted on how your hunt goes! Was it abandoned in the back of a field somewhere or is this up next to a house that is right on the tracks? I guess I need to buy a train ticket and do some hunting huh? :Brow:

Cool find, Alan. Bring a GPS with you next time and set a way point as you pass the car. Now you'll know where it is within a few feet! From there just drive in the car until you're at those coordinates...

Sounds like a fun hunt. I've even got a handheld GPS if you want to borrow it!

Hey Alan was it hidden away behind Mooney's house? Now the trick is jumping off the train at 60 mph next time you pass by it.:Brow: let us know how you made out.

Actually its not too far from MoonMan maybe 6 or 7 miles - Its about 2 miles east of the Jamaca train station on the LIRR. Its in someones' backyard.

Rick - you still have your badge ?? :Brow:

Good Idea with the GPS but I've got it nailed within a few block radius so If I go hunting It wouldn't take long.

    Alan,

If you can narrow down the area I would be willing to take a road trip with you, maybe we can grab Larry or one or two guys from the area. Seriously, give me a call if you want to take the road trip. Heck if the area isn't good we can always trade Yardley for the car:grin:

I have to say though, I cleaned up that shot and low and behold look what showed up hidden in the rear of the car.....
