I am looking for a short style 6 bladed impeller water pump. I know someone had one in their garage somewhere. I saw it in a thread about 2-3 months ago. I believe it was used, or the owner was unsure. I have a 1970 GS Stage 1 non air car. Not sure whether I have 5 bladed impeller on there now, but having some heat issues at stoplights and such. I have an aluminum rad in there, and when I get moving, she cools right down. I thought, I might have it rebuilt, and give it a try.
    Regards, John.

John, that sounds like you're describing a thread where George in NYC was looking for an NOS 6 blade water pump.

If so, it was me that responded with the "have one in my garage". The body is 3 and 3/8" in height, not counting impeller shaft. The number cast into the housing is 1242235, but I'm not certain of what specific year or application it may fit, or if it covers all years.

It came in the trunk of a parts car which I had about 3 or 4 years ago, unwrapped, and partially exposed to the elements (1/4's were rusted out). No idea how long it sat that way. It does turn freely by hand, I can take a pic or two if you want (35 mm style, no digital) and then you can decide.

I have no idea what they're worth, so if someone can chime in with a value it would be appreciated, so that I don't get flamed for not posting a price.

    Hi Tom.
Thanks for responding. As long as the casting is not damaged and rebuildable, I am interested in the pump. I will have to do some checking on your part numbers and measurements to see if it is correct for my car. I think it might be. Figure out what you want for it and let me know, maybe we can work something out. If you want to send a pic or two, p.m. me and I will give you my address.
    Regards, John.
