Interested in a quadrajet for my 70 455. I would like a rebuildable one, numbers need not match but would like it to be complete including choke housing and vacuum pull offs. Oh, yeah, and preferably around 40.00 less shipping....
I have one off of a 68 350 see this link http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=62463 but I dont know if its the right CFM for your 455.
Carburetor Don't laugh, that is about what a good rebuildable core sells for . If I see any I'll let you know and if you need help on the rebuild let me know, AL. :beer
I have one that is rebuilt and was on my 455 for 3 months untill I found a correct one. It has electric choke and is ready to bolt on. Was rebuilt in march of this year. Looks like brand new Since it is Christmas, I would sell it for $150.00 delivered to your door
WOW! What would you drive to bring it to my door?! But, really, what's the lowdown on the electric choke? Just a positive wire to it and that's all? I don't have any knowledge on them, how long has it been off your car? Let me know, I may do it..... :beer
Jerry - See if you can find a 1971-up 455 carb that flows 800 CFM. Then send it to John Osborne and you'll really be :3gears: I also hear Norm Dihle also does excellent Buick QJ work.
I have a quadrajet I would let go for $40 plus shipping. I was running it for $75. I will let it go for $40 plus shipping to get it out of my house (LOL). E-mail me for pics. Thanks, Preston wolftop20@hotmail.com
Jerry, Its been off the car and in a box for 4-5 months now. If you want it , it will come via Santa's sleigh. Mark The electric choke system is nothing more than a simple hot wire.
I have one with an electric choke...$40 to your door. I'm almost positive it's 800cfm but I can look up the numbers if you're interested. MARK
Your right Nate. Mine is from a 1980 Pontiac. The number is 17080272 http://www.recarbco.com/technical/rochester/qjet.html MARK
