Hey,Ted do you have 2 extra for the 69'-70' Era?

Different offset for `69 and `70?

    Hi Guys,
I am under the impression the offset on the wheels is the same for `64 thru`70 rims-see post #12 in this thread. As the picture illustrates the contour of the rim changed in `67 for the disc brake caliper but the offset remained the same thru `70.
Nice wheels Ted. I cant decide if I should pick up another set or sell one of the `66`s?

    Maybe I`ll get it right...

Ooops...Jarod...picked up another mistake in your illustration in #12 post...the change to the disc brake contour was made some time during the `67 model year, not `68....so the `64 thru early `67 wheels have the "hour glass" contour on the backside of the wheel. Dont mean to chew on anybody`s ass here, just trying to pass on good info...

These must be the correct wheels for a 66 Electra with the correct offset and they also look a little different I believe. A long time ago there was a thread that showed the difference but a search didn't find it for me.[/QU

You will need to note that there is no such thing as a correct chrome wheel for a 66 Electra, they where not offered - now getting the correct size and style that would fit an Electra would be more in order.

The reason I posted 64'-68' is because my uncle bought a brand new 68' Wildcat back in the day. He removed the rims and put them in storage. Now my dad ended up using those rims on his car and they were the hourglass design.
If you are taking this information out of an original GM parts book, then I am wrong on the date. The dealer could have easily put them on there just to sell the car. So if this is the case,...I learned something new yet again. :TU:

Here's the offset to the newer rim shown in post #12

I'll send some pics of my extras...Once beyond the 65-66 era my interest fades...and I can't remember the differences. We need to post the handy guide and make it a sticky in the Hides section!
I may have the later ones instead of the 69-70. Let me get a picture or two.
