Hey all, I'm looking to buy a Buick Skylark between 1968-1971.
I'd like to spend between $8-$15k for a good driver with minimal or no rust.

    Additional preferences:
    Favorite year is 1970.
I would love a 4-speed, though I know there are few out there.
GS is certainly nice but not needed. Clones are fine.
Floor shifts are preferable to column.
    I prefer a coupe to a convertible.
I live in LA so cold A/C would be lovely.
On color I'm pretty open, greens and golds are fine but I'd like the paint to look decent so I don't feel like I have to rush out and 'fix it'.

Though I am a serious buyer, I'm not one to rush so forgive me if I take my time deciding. Thanks a ton!

I do not think a 1970 4 speed skylark is in the cards unless someone has converted the car to a 4 speed.

A 1970 4 speed GS350, GS 455 or GSX is possible but they are like chicken lips --seldom seen. And for sure they are not seen in you price range unless they need a lot of work.

So you best hope may be a converted 70 skylark but they too are rare.

Your best hope overall is for a 68-69 model but they have gone up since they have been discovered.

Connor, I have seen Racebuicks car in person and have even driven it on a few ocasions. There is 10g worth of paint and body work allready done on this car alone.

Exhaust sounds awesome, and the motor runs smooth.

You can build the car into whatever you want, choose your interior color, black, blue, white or whatever blows your dress up.:bla:

Want to make it run faster? build a small block and drop it in, or if torque is your thing a mild 455 will be a nice addition too.

If you really want a car to drive that will turn heads and blow cold air this one is it. :beers2:

Thanks everyone for your responses. Just when the search got serious, my job stability took a hit and a new car was the first thing struck from the list.

I'm sure I'll be back, it's only a matter of time. For now, thank you all again and good luck with your sales!
