That IS cool! I'm just trying to pick up my Limited Edition Carlos Hathcock AR-15!:bglasses: $1,200, target ready! SANTA, IF you're LISTENING, that's what I'd really like this Christmas, and if I don't get it, then I just want a "REINDEER" HUNTING LICENSE with an "8" limit maximum, and we'll call it even, then, ok? If you don't know who Carlos Hathcock is, he was a Marine Sniper during Viet Nam. He had the most "confirmed" kills, and went on to become a Sniper School Instructor, until his recent death. If you ever get a chance, read his Biography: One Shot, One Kill: 93 Confirmed Kills. The events that happened are fascinating!:Smarty: The movie "Sniper" with Tom Berenger, was made, according to the stories of how it actually happened with Sgt. Hathcock (for example, shooting the enemy sniper through his own scope, as they were aiming at EACH OTHER! True Story, and Documented!):eek2::bglasses:
Yeah, but an AR-15? I'd be thinking more like a heavy-barreled Mil-spec bolt action Remington. I believe he was instrumental in the current mil-spec sniper rifle's design. He got a bum-deal. A war hero and they tossed him out of the military 2-months before his 20-year retirement. He got no retirement pension in return. :moonu: Too bad we Americans can't come up with something better than an H&K. John Browning where are you in the 21st century???
AMEN... John Browning we need You! This is another example of NOT buying made in America. NO wonder American manufacturing is going away faster than a Buick GS455 on Nitro.... Ed __________________________________________________ If you can't fly with EAGLES...stay in the hangar.
