We are in the preliminary stages of putting together a Buick event at the new track south of Dallas on i45 in Ferris Tx.
    https://www.xtremeracewaypark.com
It is an eighth mile venue. Very nice.

Ken White is going to contact the track and see about a date. Will post updates as things get solidified.

JR Wills messaged me with several great suggestions and at this point we are looking at a Buick event as opposed to a brand x type deal.

A quick eight or possibly quick 16 if the turn out is large enough. Would need some sponsors I would think to attract the heavy hitters so if you know a business or what not that would be willing to help with that an introduction would be great.

Also some classes suggestions were thrown out but more are great.

If you know Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and other outlying areas please direct them over to the thread so we can get the input to have a successful activity.

Thanks yall. Looking toward to seeing everyone and meeting those we haven't yet. Even if your car isn't finished, bring it out. It should be a great time!

April would be much better for me than the later dates set for the events up north.

Here is Ken's post from Facebook concerning the event:

Wanted to get back with everyone on the Buick Race I mentioned a couple weeks back.

Here's what I think and hope will be best for this year. With only a few months to plan it, I don't feel I can put together a nice Buick Shootout and event.
With this being said, I still want to do a Buick Only Test N Tune day.
I spoke with the track manager last week, he's going to verify it this week, but told me he thinks April 6th will be perfect.

I feel this Buick test n tune day will give me and some more of us Buick guys an idea of what we can do for next year, with a good full year to plan.

My dream for next year is, this event will be a full 2 Day Event. Which will hopefully bring some more Buick guys from a little farther out, plus vendors.

The beauty of this track, they do test n tune from Thursday's through Sunday's. That way, if anyone wanted to do some extra tuning or grudge racing, they can either do it Friday or Saturday evening.

It looks like this will conflict with the Houston Turbo Guys GTG and dyno weekend. So I doubt they will come but you GS guys can And the points north . Maybe the San Antonio and Austin people. Hope to see you there.

Once you see the track you will think it worth it. Or maybe not. Plus Dallas and Ft Worth has stuff to see.
Hopefully in 2020 it can have a second annual and be more than a one day TNT.

Ken White has put up a poll to gauge the amount of people who might come. It is in the Texas Buicks group on facebook. Also one in a GS group . If you are the facebook please put in your intentions. Thanks
