It was a sad day back in 1987 when I was working 12 hours daily and I pulled in the driveway in my 69 Riv, I felt that kick in the gut when my GS455 was not in front of the garage doors. I was scraping to keep it decent and just painted Burnished saddle, and was converting the bucket interior to black. Had just redone the 455/t400 with ported offy and heads, M/t's stock lower, 3200 stall, B&Mperformance pack, 410 posi, finally my Brand new hoosier quick times. Here we are several years later and with many visits and calls not 1 single lead or info from law enforcement. Everytime I start thinking about it I get that same feeling in the gut. I still live in S/E Michigan and after a few different hot rods just can't stop those memories. The vin # is 446370h323289 if anyone can help bury this bad feeling and loss I have had. Doug
Wow, back in 1987. Sorry to say it was probably taken totally apart and ended up in every swap meet across the nation.
That's truly a sad story. I never had one taken from me but I can still understand how you felt/feel. (that totally violated feeling!) Hope someone can supply some sort of lead or information! Steve
I know this thread is old but replying anyway. I have a friend who can check nationally on VIN# registrations. I dont know how he does it but I can say that he does just that. Anyway, I will ask him if he can check on any registered with that vin if you want.
