My church has started a disaster relief fund for those who want to donate. Now listen there is no fees taken from this at all. ALL the money collected will be given to another church who has opened its doors in the area to take in refugees from the damages. They are needing to buy clothes and food and medicines for those who need it. This is the real deal here I have here my churches address and you can send it direct or I will use my paypal to pay the church EACH week to help out those who dont want to mail it. Our church will only pass the money to the responsible church in the area down there so that they can do what they NEED to help get peoples lives back on track. If you want to mail it directly send it too First Southern Baptist Church Disaster Relief Fund 1912 Gage Blvd Topeka Kansas 66604 Or if you wish I will use my paypal mike@mrbuick.com and you can send it to me. I would ask you add a couple bucks to cover the fees that paypal hammers for. THANK YOU!!! And remember this money is going 100% to the people who need it, and without ANY admin costs like other places that get your money.
it sure feels good to see so many people willling to help. here in lafayette, by the time it's over we'll have about 50,000 evacuees here. that's a 50% increase in our population in about a week. also there are over 2,000 kids to enroll in our local schools and my son has told me they registered 1,100 students @ ULL, our local college that he attends. i know a lot of these people have nothing left. poppaluv66, i hope you and your family are alright. and if your here in lafayette, let me know if i can do anything to help.
Ok Update: Our church took the bus we had for the Youth Program and loaded it full of supplies and clothes and things we all had and as a church donated it all to the church in southern AL so they can have some wheels to help people get where they need too. We have also sent the money we have collected so they can buy water and food for the refugees. PLease dont wait and if your able send in your donation thanks!
