I have a set of new mickey thompson super scavenger headers still in the box with collectors. They have some very light surface rust. I would have them coated if I was going to keep them. $575

These are the best sounding headers uncorked hands down.:3gears: Price is right on. :TU: I have them still but not in a car. I have the usual roadrash  on the collectors ands two front tubes. Brandon in Pa is fixing mine up as we speak. I can't imagine these lasting more than a few hours.:bglasses:
Hey Ryan - before you ship them could you shoot me a picture looking into the collector case? I'm curious if ther repro's look the same. - Bill
Bill here's a shot of what you asked for in case Ryan didn't read the post.Ryan, got it today cleaned them up a bit. Thanks, everything worked out OK.:TU:
Thanks Tom - interesting that the GSCA repros do not cut the pipes inside the collector the same way. - Bill
are you sure? I have a set of repops, and I was pretty sure they are cut that way...I'd have to go check in the garage....
About all they could have done differently is to change the length of the primary tubes from the originals or cut the tube ends at an angle...equal length is equal length.
I am assuming the ones here are MT originals. I purchased the next to last run of the GSCA repros. In those, two tubes were cut short, in the same place and two tubes were cut long, in the same place. They appeared to be paired, 2 and 2. I would think that to get equal length each tube would end in a different location, as the above picture would indicate. Did another else notice that, or maybe the set I got was defective??? - Bill
The originals from what i've been told had a 4 bolt flange. These are repros. Yes with equal lenght tubes. So they are staggered in the collectors.
You are right, of course. I forgot about the 4 bolt flange. I did dig my set out and the pipes are not as close uzzled: as I remembered, but still two long and two short. They appear very close to the set above though. It must be the bends before the collector that makes them equal. Thanks for the confirmation on mine. - Bill
