I am looking for the 1/4 " brass fitting that goes on the intake manifold (300" engine) and supply's vacuum to the HVAC system. Misplaced mine. Used or a source for new one would be great. Thanks
If you have a Car Quest parts store in your area they have a display full of drawers filled with different brass fittings. Give them a try. Edelmann is the manufaturer. Maybe you could find listing on line.
Or a hardware or plumbing supply store. Other manufactures include Dorman (Help Products) http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearch.aspx?type=keyword&q=male+elbow and Weatherhead. Most OEM fittings were made by them. See the catalog here: http://hydraulics.eaton.com/products...s_fittings.pdf and look on page 5 for the 90 degree male elbow. Might be 1/8 pipe thread.
Thanks guys, I made a kind of half ass one out of some plastic fittings and brass stock. Will definately try the suggestion when I get back home next week. Kind of funny, I thought with as many 300's that are being pitched somebody would have one of these fittings (a/c car) laying around.
Do you have an old one you can post a picture of? I have a few originals off of nailheads stashed away maybe I have the one you need as I will never use it.
I'm still in Seattle until Sunday, but will look for the part when I get back Sunday. Thanks for the offers to help.
Finally, I found the broken fitting to take a picture of! This fitting is only on an a/c car, the non a/c don't have it, at least that is what my manual shows. I cannot find small enough tubing to braze or solder on to replace the broken part. Let me know what you have. Thanks
I have a really nice one then. $10 shipped if you want it. I have had it for years. I took it off a nailhead I think. I will never use it.
