Theres no point to this thread. I just wanted to tell the world I got something accomplished on my car

I've managed to get a little further along on my brake upgrade.
Its been an uphill climb. I enjoy tinkering on this ol' car, but sometimes it could be less of a pain in the rump....
I didn't think it would be so hard to get a line set for a car without power brakes. Not that it wasn't hard to get the lines... I just wanted lines I didn't have to mangle to make them fit. Its been trial and error... mostly error.
Next weekend is to plumb up the rear lines.
    Here's a pic.

  2. Pretty.

I take it you are converting your single master cylinder to a dual?

Yep, I had some leaky rear cylinders back when I was driving the car.. which seems so long ago now.. anyway, the old single chamber master cyl emptied out and I had no brakes. (fortunately I was still in the driveway when I found this out)
I got to thinking this whole single master cylinder wasn't a good idea.
Then again, *not* checking the fluid level or pulling the drums off to check for leaks ever, isn't that good of a plan either
I'm "turning over a new leaf" and doing my best to keep good brakes on all my cars. I don't want anymore of that brake pedal to the floor nonsense!

While the engine is out I decided it was time for a brake upgrade. Dual master, stainless lines and discs up front. Theres going to be an adjustable proportioning valve behind the distribution block on the frame. I wanted it up by the master, but compromised with it down on the frame. I hope that thing doesn't take too much fiddling to get the bias right.
