Has anyone heard of Master Power brake kits? Any thoughts or experiences? I’m looking to do a disc brake conversion for a 72 Skylark, ran across this company while researching options.

Advice on other suppliers is also welcome.

I know this a few years to late however, I recently purchased a booster/MC combo for my 65 Fairlane so far no issues. Up until now no one had a unit that would clear the shock towers

Thanks, this has indeed been a dead thread for quite a while. I'm still considering options for the brake system while I'm doing engine, transmission and axle updates. Brakes will be next after all of that is installed.

I'm glad this got revived, been looking at their booster /master cylinder conversions. An 8 inch dual diaphragm booster should have the best rocker cover clearance for a BBB in a 65 but don't know how the flat style mount option will work out. Also their 11 inch rear drum setup looks like a good upgrade from the factory 9inch.
Some feedback from guys that have used them would be helpful - not something I want to get wrong having expensive safety critical parts sent half way around the world.

My firewall has a couple bolt heads protruding behind where the booster sits; there is a plastic spacer that goes behind the booster which takes up the space to allow the booster to fit flat against the firewall. I drove about 15 miles yesterday and it was ok, I just have to get use to not slamming on the brakes hard like when they were manual

I converted from rear drums/front discs to Wilwood discs all the way around. Honestly the stock brakes were fine for standard road driving but on the track they'd be toast after lap 1. I needed something much better and so far the Wilwoods have been great. Ceramic track pads made a HUGE difference as well once they really get hot. Good luck!

I think member Steve Caruso (Underdog) is a rep for MBM conversion kits. He should be able to help you out.
