There's many complaints I could make about Comcast, like service interruptions, increasing charges, but the one thing that pisses me off to no end is that every year they seem to purge some channels. As an example, channel 223 (for me) had old west shows like Wagon Train, Cheyenne, Laramie, etc, they dropped the channel. It's happened several times. They'll drop the channel and then add a replacement, something like a Filipino broadcast channel. They say they go by demographics and the changes represent that. You have no say as to what channels they remove or add despite the package subscription you are on, they charge you the same amount of money and basically tell you if you don't like it, pound sand. Not much game in town and they know it.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I pay $75 a month total (which they claim is a "forever price") for 1GB up and 1GB down, and the speeds are actual. (Quantum fiber which I think is a rebrand of Centurylink).

I host, so the speeds are useful.

When I was on Comcast I bought a modem at the thrift store for $15.00 which worked great for many years, vs paying them $5 a month.

So I received another robo call from Comcast this morning demanding that I pay the bill that they have already debited from my checking account. This time it took over an hour of automated phone discussions (I hope the person who invented these automated phone answering devices rots in Hell) to get to a Human who barely spoke English. Then after another half-hour of talk with a person in India, she finally said that I don't owe the bill that I have already paid and that Comcast has already received. This is almost exactly what they said during my first phone call with them. Aarrrahhh!
