Any chance someone could take a good picture of the TOP of the windshield frame showing the rear view mirror cover when attached. I was just test fitting my (admittedly bad shape) mirror and cover and it doesn't look very good....not sure what is normal and what isn't....

    Thanks

    Convertibles different Tim?
I can send you a pic of a hardtop quite easily.
Might have a convertible piece here somewhere, no use for it, I think it's green.

Hi Steve, yeah ragtops are completely different. I was just wondering how well all the parts are supposed to fit....here is a picture of mine shooting downward from the front...it doesn't sem to wrap around over the top very well. I know there is supposed to be vinyl here as well, but what kind of fit did GM have with this setup??

And if you have a ragtop one Steve, please let me know. They are easy to pick out as they have a molded section to recieve the sunvisor ends. I can pics if needed. Have the bezels made it yet?

    Tim,
Can't be sure from the pic.Found the one I have. Has P/N 8719525 cast inside.
Has the escutcheons for sunvisor ends and it is black. Check the number on your existing piece.
Checked the parts book but this number does not appear in my book.
No idea where I got it from or what it's for. I know I was buying a few mirrors last year looking for a good map light set-up. This may have come with one of those.
You want it just say the word & I'll drop it in the mail Monday.
Should see the sail panel bezels next week.

Interesting on that one, no idea what that fits! Here is a pic of the one I have, please excuse all the dust. It appears that mine has started to seperate so even though the core snugs up the outsdie part doesn't follow as good as it could.

Lesson learned. Don't buy anything for a "driver", usually means junk to me. Show car means average.

    Hi Tim,
Yes,mine is way off from your pic. Again, no idea what it's from.
Looks like I now have 1 less piece in the parts box & 1 more to file under G-13!

Somebody somewhere needs that part......maybe put it in the bench section and see if someone can ID it. Have you checked the internet search engines for that p/n?? Never know...

Alan, when someone is going out of their way to help you out, you don't put regulations on it!! take your time, I'm pretty much dead in the water with this car right now, just doing lots of little things that don't cost me money....

    Thanks!!
