hey if anyone could help me out west, I am looking for a few parts for my 67 electra conv. I need the emblem off the front grille witch I have found to be impossible to find anyware, and the inside strap handles for the doors also equally hard to find in useable shape. anyone who knows even a good yard to look for parts out here would be a great help, Thanks Andy.E

Well, I have similar problems with the same car. I ended up finding a parts car locally with the same color interior but a 2dr coupe... A lot of parts I need will come off that car, you might try and find the same thing.

You might want to contact Cars Inc. www.oldbuickparts.com as they sometimes have some Electras in their yard, or there is a yard in Vancouver, WA called All American Classics www.allamericanclassics.com that have a couple of 67 Electra's in their yard, but I hear they are expensive.

As for the center emblem in the grill, get in line.... one came up on ebay a couple of months ago and I lost it literally in the last seconds.... bidding hit $75 for just the tri-shield insert. Good luck and let me know if you have any spare parts!

    thanks doug,
for the suggestions I will look at the web site,I have gone through great american classics before but no luck this time(they are expensive but good quality). I have a spare original rim cover off my car with the tri shield emblem in it in decent shape. Do the coupe's parts tranfer well to the convertables. Thanks again, and I will wish for sunny days to drive in.

Most of the parts of a 2dr will fit for the 'vert but you have to be careful with door/window seals, body work from the windshield back and some interior pieces. If the 2dr coupe is equipped with "smoking sets" in the back, then the backseat can be interchangeable as well, provided there are spacers for the backrest (some have them, some don't). But I believe the rest of the interior is interchangeable, if they are similarly equipped cars.

Right now I'm on the lookout for new valve covers, the "Electra" and "225" scripts the trunk and rear quarters in good shape (ie, better than mine) and of course a nice center grill tri-shield. Let me know if you find any of these, if you don't need them. Thanks.
