I pulled up to a light at lunch, (in my 71 Skylark) a little boy blue racer pulled up next to me. He started reving a little, looked over at me, inched up a little, I thought it was a WRX, funny blue, big wing, big hood scoop, I almost let him burn out and go it alone, but, just couldn't do it.
I just gave it a little gas, raised it up a little, he was ready, the light turned, I hear his little tires squeal, left him like the ugly step child,
I thought, Oh Well, another WRX, kind a fun.
Pulled into the local Fudruckers last night, cruise night, and here comes that guy, I asked him if he had raced any red Buicks the day before, He said, oh, which one, I said, The One That Beat You, Oh, That One!. Yeah. He parked with a couple other ricey cars, the same kind, different colors, and I talked to him later, He said, O, I wasn't really ready, we need to do it again, I said I have beaten quite a few of these WRX's, He said, I beat WRX's all the time, this is a SRT 4. Oh, well they do all look alike to me.
Maybe not a great kill story, but fun to hear the excuses.

So he starts it and then says he wasn't ready after he loses........ :spank:

Good kill, maybe you can catch him when he's "ready" in front of his friends.

Wasn't ready? I told him I heard his little tires burning the same time I was leaving, he said he had just got new exhaust and just wanted to hear it. I don't even know if I should be bragging about a SRT 4 anyway.

Some srt4's aren't anything to laugh at. Dodge is building them to be more "straight line" orientated than most other "rice" cars. One of them over at south florida racing just put down 294.7hp/343.3ft-lbs (more torque than hp, strange for a 4 popper ain't it?) and when you consider the weight of the car, it's quick.

The Hayabusa's are capable of 9.8 secon quarters.. stock. I'd still love to Build a Buick that would do 9.5's and suprise one of these guys at a stoplight some day. :spank:

Just an FYI, most of these crotch-rockets are in the 11-13 range, easy pray for a built Buick. :spank: :3gears: :bglasses:

I like to think that my giant hood scoop and wing look better than their comparibly puny hood scoop and wing.
