I can access it, and I'm a newbee nobody. Is that the one that was on E-bay awhile back, maybe didn't meet reserve? I didn't follow the auction to the end.
Yes it is the Motion X :3gears: The eBay auction finished at 611K $ with no sale (reserve not meet) , it was a very interesting auction to watch ! :TU:
What was/is the current SALE price? The car must be "for sale" since it was on ebay and is listed elsewhere as being "for sale." My question is....How much money does it take to buy this car? I can't afford it but I am very interested. The reserve was not met on the ebay auction, but is it known what the reseve was/is? If the car really is for sale then there must be a $ number that results in the car changing owners. Why is it such a mystery? So, what's everyones guess as a realistic $ number/value to buy this kind of car (one-of-one). I am always interested to learn how much this type of car cost to restore, including what price was paid for the unrestored project and how much it cost to complete the project. I think these numbers are good to know so that some of us who want to consider such a project are better able to understand what we are (possibly) getting into when we take on a sizable restoration project. I am just now returning to the musclecar hobby after being away for more than 20 years so I hope I'm not out of line with my comments. I'd love to find a REAL GSX that I can afford to buy as a driver and someday maybe decide to go "crazy" with a frame-off restoration. But that seems to be a dream at the current prices I'm finding as I begin my search. I had a real 1970 GSX I bought in high school for $1200 in 1982. Started to restore it and ended up selling for $2000 in 1987. I will regret NOT keeping that car forever. Anyhow, looking to enjoy the musclecar hobby with a Buick...they're really something special! Thanks, Rob
it opened up for me........is it a sign........maybe i'm going to win the lotto. Only way I could ever buy somthing like that.
Rob, if you read at the link you posted, it indicates to call them for price info. Give Mark a ring at the shop if you want the answer from the horse's mouth.
It takes a ballzy guy to take a car like that (or any car worth a lotto money) to a no reserve auction. Could end up costing him the comission to get his car back??
Do you wear a special shirt with SM on it under your regular clothes???? Never-never land is called Ohio !
and Mr Reeves allready went to BJ to sell a 10-10 GSX , wonder if he could have done better with eBay or by himself .. kinda risky !
Mark's GSX didn't do as well as he would have hoped in my opinion. I talked with him recently and he told me the GSX was an outstanding car that was almost flawless. He told me a number for the Motion car, but I will not disclose since I don't know if he was joking or not. Some rich man wanting a very rare car would drop the cash in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't want to risk it at BJ.
