I bought a set with gold centers for my Centurion back when I bought it. Who knows, maybe they'll become fashionable again?

The biggest pain is the clever "unilug" system which uses an oval washer with an offset hole to allow the rim to fit a bunch of different bolt circles. If that washer isn't fully seated you'll break the wheel studs. Also you've got to find a shop that can balance the tires using the lugs instead of a cone in the middle.

Finally they have an aluminum center and a steel rim. The rim is susceptible to rust and the center requires the lugs be re-tightened a couple of days after you've had them off.

A fellow left a note on my car saying he had 4 of the same rims in his basement that he'd like to sell. I bought them very cheap. His rims have chrome faces and gold pockets. Mine are solid gold in the center.

The corrosion on the cheap rims is leading me to consider a very creative use. I'll post pictures if it works out.

I was considering Keystone Klassics for my first car ('72 Skylark) back in 1987, but I finally decided on Champ 500's due to the fact that the Cragar's and Keystone rims rusted in a couple years. If you keep them dry and out of any kind of salt/snow, you might be OK.

Plus Champ 500's are cool. :bglasses: At least in 1987 they were the sh!t.

Hey Curtis, there is a '66 on E-bay right now with Hopsters if you want to check out how they look. I ended up going with 15x7 Buick rallyes on my '66.

I've also had problems with uni-lug wheels loosening up in the past.
Keystones are my favorite aftermarket wheel... but I will probably never use them because of the troubles I've seen with uni-lug wheels.

I've run these rims for years and I'm very fond of them. I wouldn't be scared to put them on your car. Just be aware of the shortcomings and you're all set. The unilugs are obvious when they are crooked, you just have to look. Most aluminum rims should be re-tightened after a while. This isn't constant, just once after the tires have been off. Here is the sequence: take off the tire for whatever reason, put it back on and tighten the lugs. Drive it for a day or two and then snug them down again. That's it until the tire is off again.

I have the set off the Motion car that we used before I found the new rims on the car. Nice condition with a very small amount of rust line at the attachment line of the center area. They were good enough for show until I found the new ones.
