motor weights

    need help with motor weights

    can someone tell me the weights of:

    215-V8

    225-V6

    300-V8

    350-V8

    Off the top of my head the only one I can give you is the 350 wich weighs in at 450 lbs.

    Hey Steve there is a website that i can't think of right now that has a list of a bunch of motor weights, I know someone on the TB.com board knows it but someone on here might know it too, Wish I could help more sorry.

    used boardreader.com and found...

    Factory SBC, iron heads etc = 520 pounds
    SBC with aluminum heads = 480 pounds

    Factory BBC, iron heads etc = 754 pounds
    BBC with aluminum heads = 660 pounds
    All aluminum ZL-1 501 pounds

    All those numbers do not address the 300 V-8 or 340 V-8.

    Anyone have these, or is the Buick 350 weight probably close enough?
