Anyone know a good place to get a Muncie 4 speed rebuild kit at a decent price? Looking on the net, parts houses and ebayers seem to be all over the place price-wise. Thanks!! :TU:
MPRY1 I have no idea what you consider to be "reasonably priced" nor what web sites you have visited, but try this one: http://www.5speeds.com/muncie.htm http://www.5speeds.com/kit.htm Paul -- owner of Mediatronics -- knows his transmissions. He builds 'em for racers. In addition to a rebuild kit, he also offers a video tape "how-to" for those of us who may be a little mirky on the steps. He also has new Muncie cases . . . Explore his web site -- he also has step-by-step instruction pages, but they may not be detailed enough for the backyard mechanic. Craig
I like the ones from 5speeds.com. I've had some kits that do not include things like the countergear shaft and the brass synchro rings. The 5speeds.com kits are a bit more expensive but they are complete and they also have better gaskets than some of the other kits.
