    Garrett Museum

Wife and I just returned from Ashville NC. On the way home we stopped at the Garrett Museum. The Big M is displayed very nicely.
While buying the tickets, I asked Floyd where your car was, He tells that he doesn't have a 58 Merc.
The look on my face must have scared him and he reasures me that the car is there. He does have a sence of humor.
I took a pic of it and if anyone would like to post it here I could email it to them and they could post it. I'm old and not good with high tech stuff, thats why I drive a Rambler.
Let me know if someone would like to post the pic. Bob

:TU: Brian, I was just at the museum saturday, and did not realize the the Merc was yours. I told my son in law that I had a friend that had a twin to the one we were looking at ,and couldn't believe there was two of them. I should have realized that there is really ony one.
Congratulations !! The car looks GREAT and is nicely displayed. :TU:

Nice...except how does anyone see that bodacious air cleaner and fuel pump with the front hinged hood parked the way it is? Elvis seems to like it.

What an honor to have a car worthy of that awesome place.

Boy, it sure would be a mean trick if someone was able to sneak in a blow-up-doll and have her "displayed" in the passengers seat ..... [IMG]

Actually my wife sent me that one from work. I was shocked. My kinda air bag, though.

    Rusty:

Those days are far behind me. Both of my sources for that stuff died young. I took the hint.

Just got back from looking at the 66. All parts are on except the drip edge moldings. Bumpers are on, etc. He was color sanding and wheeling it out again when I got there. This car is gorgeous. Glad I kept it. Should be bringing it home pretty quick, will wait for a nice day (could be tricky in Michigan), and take some pics.
