Don't forget to add your first name to your signature, so we will remember it :TU:

Is this a Swiss built Riviera with a speedometer in km/h ?

Contact the good people at TA Performance in Phoenix, Arizona for parts and advice :Comp:
Explain to them what you want, tell them about the car and they will help you picking the best combo for your Riviera :3gears:

Welcome from Florida USA. Plenty of Riv lovers over here too! Something to keep in mind when adding your intake. These Rivs have very little hood clearance. So if you go with a B4B for example you will have to have a drop base air cleaner and probably no more than a 2" element to get your hood to close. Ask me how I know!

Welcome to v8buick and the wonderful world of Riviera from Canada's frozen capital !! :beer
I'm not a fan of 'big wheels', but they do look nice on your Riviera.
Couldn't help but notice something hanging below the left side door in your pics - what is it ? :Do No:

It looks like the result from getting in and out of the rear seat with heavy boots on.

Tom, love your Riv. That thing is beautiful. Has the car has been lowered?

You may want to go back to a Q jet carb and a steel fuel line from the fuel pump like original. Having a rubber line laying around the top of the engine is dangerous. Recurving the ignition timing in the distrib may be the best bang for the buck. Headers can be a pain. After working on the carb and ignition curve, I would look to one of JW's small converters for the transmission.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, . . . think you got it Erik !! :TU:

Just a chipped, or flakey paint finish on the top edge of the painted aluminium rocker panel mouldings. :puzzled:

I get that too. Have to touch it up every so often. Had thought about having them re anodized in black or plated in a brushed nickel.

Thanks to all of you to write on my topic..:)

No, the Speedometer is in Mph!

i will contact TA for Parts and advice, Thanks bad boattail!

Briz: Iknow these rivs have very little hood clarence.. it's a bit silly because i like a bigger air filter.. the air filter I look so puny out! shoot me you dont understand my English:grin:
i think im going to go for the b4b intake.. ok price!

    Flynbuick: Thanks for the tip!:)

yes it's just flakey paint finish on the top edge of the painted aluminium rocker panel.. it will be fixed in the vinter..

I have now decided to remove the engine and gearbox to seal any oil leaks.
has ordered a new converter for better acceleration being monternt while the engine is out.

    Some pics:grin:

The rocker panel mouldings are an aluminium extrusion, and getting any paint to adhere well can be tricky.
My original black anodized finish was long gone from road rash and fading over the years - and finding a decent set was a bit of a challenge too, what with winter salt and corrosion.
I refinished mine with a matte black epoxy paint, after some serious bending, straightening, and dent removal, and they still get scuff marks from foot traffic in and out of the car.
They are hardly visible when mounted on the bottom of the car, but that top edge of the moulding is totally exposed.
Thinking about running a long strip of black vinyl electrical tape over the top lip of the moulding to prevent and protect it from scuffing. :Do No:

Like Randy, I am usually not a fan of the larger wheel, but there are exceptions. Your car is an exception. :TU:
I think most people don't do a good job of choosing a wheel that aesthetically goes with the car.

Thanks, good to hear you like it:)

I've always wanted to have big wheels on the car, at the same time a low car. I spent some time figuring out which wheels I should have, came across another riviera I just loved! So then the choice is simple ..

    heres the inspiration pic:
