My latest acquisiton/project: 1966 LeSabre coupe

I recently bought this car off eBay. It's a 1966 LeSabre coupe with 22,000 miles. It was presented as having mostly original paint, so I'll leave it alone. The drive train is a 340/auto and I intend to leave it alone. Hopefully it won't need any major work. The body, undercarriage and trunk look very solid and clean. The interior is very nice. The plan right now is to add power disc brakes, a/c, tilt wheel, bucket seats and cruise control. The wheels appear to be 20's, so I'll swap them out for something closer to OEM size, probably 17's like on my '63 wagon. My goal is to have it ready for the 2022 BCA meet in IL.

Very nice find! Can't wait to see how the 17's will look on it.

Cool to see another 66 lesabre as well, I've had this one for 18 years now. Currently running 18x8 and 18x9.5 rear but that's the largest I feel comfortable going.

I have never seen one of these cars in person. I love the body style and the unique Buick touches. It finally arrived and I'm quite impressed. The interior is like new. It drives out very well. There are some minor battle scars on the body, but that's OK, since I plan on driving it. I'm going to meet up with the guy that does my work within the next few days and we're going to come up with a plan.

Unfortunately, the truck driver that delivered it mangled the front bumper, but we already have found a replacement.
