They all look good, but one front pipe has a hole in it that was welded up..........I think that when you pay $1,000 for an exhaust system, this should not happen.

I have not tried to fit them in yet, the mufflers are coming on Monday.......they had to be made.

What do you think, should I complain and make them send me a new pipe?

I would not have let that go out the door if I was them.

However, it may be more trouble than its worth.

My opinion looking at the pic is that it's not a quality they should have sent you in the first place. Not just the patch, but there looks to be some deformation.

As to sending back, if you're not in a hurry I would.

I'd call first, then send them back. That weld does not look well done and don't I still see a split next to the weld. Just looks like poor workmanship that was patched up. For the money you paid you should only accept first quality parts. Who did you buy them from?

I would not install that on your car. That is a defect and they never should have sent it to you like that. Your ride deserves better then that, send it back (at there expence) AL.

I wouldn't be pleased about paying $300 for something like that and putting it on my POS, let alone paying $1,000 and putting it on something nice.

And last time I looked, your car was in the "something nice" category.

Takes a lot of balls to even pack that up. Then again, you never know if the worker bee screwed up and was trying to slide one past the boss.

Certainly worth a call, and definitely worthy of replacement.

Definitely send `em back. You payed for a mandrel bent piece, with real money. Sounds like they're hopingyou won't complain...

They know they'd have to mark that thing down if they sold it with a known blemish.

    Joe,

Are you serious? Where's the gray area here? $1,000 and those things should be perfect. That's totally unacceptable in my view. Don't be too gun shy to demand what you think you should get for what you paid. If you bought a new shirt and it had a patch sewn into it, would you even hesitate to take it back?

Sorry, I don't mean to be wise, I just can't believe some of the sh!t these companies think they can get away with.

    BTW, what company was it?

I got these from Kepich............I'm waiting until my mufflers come in next week, and I will check the fit. That pipe in question is going back either way, I just don't want to call them a second time if I don't have to.
Thanks for the replies, guys, now I know I'm on the right track.:bglasses:

"Am I being too fussy?" ?? are you serious?

That looks like kakah. I'd think for 1G you'd get mandrel bent pipe that is new... read - unrepaired.
I hope you called them right away and lodged a complaint.

Hey, if they won't take it back, send it to me and I'll take it back in person. Perfectly willing to stop by and raise holy hell for ya.

For waht it's worth, I've got two of theior systems on my drivers -- they did a nice job and everything fit. I guess some folk have been less than satisified, but I had good luck, and the guy seemed pretty reasonable when I stopped in to pick up the parts.
