Does anyone have one of these they could spare? Used to attach the fuel filter bracket to front of engine.

Picture is just for example only. Thanks in advance.

Ok, this is the correct stud and nut. The hole is blind and there should be no coolant leakage when stud it bolt is removed.

Someone sent me this pic from an assembly manual, what a great help. The pic shows the filter bracket attached to the third bolt from the bottom. My guess is that the shorter one you have might be the right one.

Just a note. The shorter one & the longer one both appear to be a 3/8ths. bolt & NOT 5/16ths.
Could be just the picture or my old 75yr. eyes.

The longer one is 5/16 and fits in the correct spot. It's the one off my unmolested 66 GS engine. The other one doesn't fit in any of the timing cover spots

Bolt in the correct spot on timing cover.

    That looks exactly correct. Thanks!

The bolt should be 5/16th 3 inches long and the stud where the filter attaches is 1/4 by 20.
