Quirky question. I know that @Jim Weise uses the Napa caps and I see they have brass contacts. When I look up the part numbers for my 430. I get ECH RR165, described as "premium" and ECH RR 1650, described as "high performance". The latter is brown vs the premium being black. Cost difference is like 50 cents? The rotor is similar -- two options - but basically the same price. The store guys had a similar "huh" response as I did as he looked at the description and scratched his head. Maybe one of our Napa employees can shed some light on the difference??
I work at napa and I believe they are the same. I have looked at them at my store because of the same reason of the "high performance". Both are heavy plastic and brass contacts. Identical besides color. I think it is a marketing thing.
Just thought of something, the rotor that is "premium" from napa (RR169R) is a piece of crap and almost transparent. The "high performance" (RR1670) is heavy and better. Don't be fooled it is brown to match the color of the cap, but the caps are the same The high performance rotor and the black cap are both USA made.
