1965 special 2 door sedan - getting the rear suspension parts rounded up and installed before i put the body back down onto frame . would like to get the back down an inch or two , the new trw coils have raised it up a little too much plus the shocks are extended too much . need to know if half a coil drops it so much etc . i realize i may have to take a little more off after the body/etc weight is back down but thought there may be some kinda formula or experience out there . be nice to do it once now with the body off and some extra working room . thanks for any info . del

Del, wait until you have the body on it and at least a year as the springs will settle about an inch after a while. Its easy to make the adjustment after the body is on the frame. What springs do you have for it?

Also are the springs in front new. If they are old and sag it will make the rear end higher in the back.

new moroso front bb chev drag springs ( was gonna be a 455 - may have to trim/change those also ) , new trw oem style rears . i contacted a local good spring place and he recommended the same thing . body on , do a bunch of measuring etc and then cut . they are easy enough to get out with body on . he had some very exact ideas on the right way of figuring that out also - spring direction , coil measuring etc . i am looking for a little " old school gasser attitude " on this anyway , don't mind a stiff ride . besides , alot easier crawlin around underneath , plus it'll aggravate the tuners . del
