Hey guys Im sure this has been posted before but here goes. Having trouble sourcing the frame pads for the 350 motor mounts for our 350 transplant into 1967 skylark. any help would be greatly appreciated as we are ready to drop the motor in after a few months getting everything ready. Thanks Kirk
if you had a v6 or v8 in it, take off the engine mounts and put them on the 350 and slide it in. you can still use the oem carb linkage whether you have a 2 bbl, 4bbl or blower on the 350. headers..use hookers. can't get much simpler
I wish it was just that simple, it had an olds 350 in it when bought, from what I am seeing the olds engine mounts wont work on the buick 350 and same with the frame pads. So need to find 350 buick frame pads.
I thought of that but they told me at TA performance the 300 and 340 ones wont fit the 350 motor mounts. So back to to square one unless they are wrong at TA and if so still dont know where to source them. Would really like to find stock 350 frame pad replacements or reproductions
I just did a quick search on eBay for ‘Buick 350 mounts’ and found quite a few sets. These are the cheapest ones I saw: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Skylark-GS...2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
Try searching for 65-67 300, 340 or v6 frame pads. Or those skylark mount pads would likely work just buy the correct 65-67 SBB engine mounts to bolt to the frame pads. Drop the engine in, mark where the pads hit the frame. Remove engine, mount pads in place, instal engine.
my car had (its built from 2 different cars one was a gs one was just a regular skylark) but the regular skylark which is the body and was on that original frame was a 300 or 340 car and had a 73 350. it bolted directly in. it rides on the gs boxed frame and has the nailhead stuff now.
