Need help identifying block

    The VIN 8H319536 stamped on the 350 block is 1968.

    The “BU” trans stamped with the 68 is a ST400 used with 350s in 1968.

    If the 350 and the ST400 were from the same Buick it would be

    from a 1968 LeSabre.

    If this is true and you believe what Buick says they built

    the 350 would carry the “PP” stamped code for the 1968 350-4bbl.


    “PP” = 350-4bbl LeSabre and GS350

    “PO” = 350-2bbl Specials and Skylarks

    “PW” = 350-2bbl Export

    Yes, we posted all that engine information earlier on in this thread, only thing he needs to find now is the two letter engine code.
