I think the motor I have has a cam that might be to big. First the combo: 494 short block compresion is 11.3 to 1 stg1 heads with port work done buy Jim Burek Had to send the manifold out with the heads. cam in it know is a TA 608(use 1.6 rockers) intake is goimng to be ungrated to SP1 or SPX and a 950 hp carb(old intake 2x4 fell off work bench and big crack) I have MT headers and 3 inch exaust mallory ign. I would like to see my car run in the mid to low 11's.(motor only) 3700 with driver 3.73 gears th400 with 3200 stall. I will be putting NItrous on it and want to get a cam that would be better for it. The question I have is the TA 290-08HL cam a good chose or would there be something better for me??? I would also like to know the kind of power to look for from this motor combo? with the 608 and the 290-08HL? Thanks Doug
