Help!! I have a 1970 Skylark Custom (convertible) with a cracked left side exhaust manifold. The car is at a shop that I implicitly trust but they don't normally work on older cars. I am not mechanically inclined whatsoever (makes for an expensive hobby!). The shop tells me they need a left side exhaust manifold and in their words "it is very important that we get a manifold that bolts from the rear. Apparently there are 2 types of manifold for these engines and we need to make sure we get the correct one. GM does not have a listing for vehicles of that vintage so we are checking salvage yards etc.". Can anyone out there help me? The part would have to be FedEx'd or UPS to me in Nova Scotia Canada, but I'll gladly pay whatever it requires!! Is there a source of new aftermarket replacement parts? I've looked and not found any. And should I also be looking for a new set of (stainless) bolts? Thanks for any support this terrific board can offer! I can be e-mailed at ianmurray@eastlink.ca .
68-80 Buick 350 engines use the same manifold. You should have no problem finding one here. Contact Mike at mike@mrbuick.com He is parting out 2-3 1970 Skylark 4dr models.
