Part II - Little did I know that the buckets would be so complicated. I need an outer (low beam) left or right for the 65,66,67. OR the "A" bucket for 68-72. That is the driver's side low beam. The 68-72 are mirror images left to right. The 67 and earlier are all the same left to right. The horizontal adjuster are on the same side(right) and the springs are on the same side (left), left to right. The only difference left to right is high beam and high/low beam on the earlier cars. At least this is what I think. This is what I need(High/Low beam bucket): Top is up in this picture. Note the difference in the upper notch between High and High/low beam buckets. Thanks everyone for their interest and offers! I asked a friend to see if he had one and we got to talking about the different buckets. He offered that he had modified a headlight bucket when he had a short deadline to finish a car. His idea is to change a bucket from high beam to low beam by changing the tab indents. I'm going to give that a shot as I have an extra high beam bucket of the correct side and see if that works. I'll post the results.
Now the dust has settled I think I have a couple extra buckets sitting around. Like you, I had one missing and it was easier to get a new set. Having restored a few 65 grills and knowing every time I have to pay attention to the buckets!
I was successful in modifying the bucket I had extra. Lucky I had the correct one. Pic below. If anyone wants to know how I did it let me know.
