A few weeks ago, my A.I.R. pump started making a rattling noise at idle. Turns out, the bearings are shot. Luckily, I had another core I'd gotten from a board member some years ago, which I was able to swap in...problem solved. I've looked into getting another replacement pump, but it may work just as well to have my stock pump rebuilt. Does anyone know of a S.F. Bay Area shop which performs these kinds of rebuilds? The pump is a standard Saginaw with one inlet pipe and two egress pipes. Attached are some photos I stole...the front one is identical to mine, but the rear photo shows only one egress pipe where mine has two.
