Help! Need valve covers ASAP (As Soon As Possible)! Need for 1971 Buick Skylark Custom with 350c.i.d. 2bbl. V8 engine (equipped with 3spd. auto. trans., A/C, pwr. brakes, & pwr. steering); must at least be factory correct originals in good condition and factory correct color.

Note: I understand that, due to effects of things such as age and wear, said valve covers may need to be bead-blasted and painted anew with factory correct color.

Mike - try posting in the "parts wanted" section.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I am "covering both bases", as the saying goes, especially since posts about parts wanted are evidently being allowed to appear in both "parts wanted" and "junkyard jewels" anyway, which is reasonable and fitting, considering the increasingly extreme rarity of parts being sought, including in "junkyards".

The thought to offer '79 parts is appreciated in a way. :)

However, the best, safest, and surest way to have correct appearance and fit is to do any one or combination of the following: Get (A). Original parts which are off of cars of at least the same make (if not also model), year (or years), and etc; (B) Absolutely correct exact OEM replacements; or (C). Correct OEM style reproductions of the parts being sought...Of course any one or combination of these as possibility, availability, and finances allow.

So, that's what I'm in the process of doing and trying to do.
