    Previous best was 13.4
    New best (so far) 13.35
    Best 60’ so far 1.89
Met Guy Fox there and his wife, great people!
Finally got to me another V8 guy and what better place than the track!
We were able to line up on the first run, WHAT A BLAST!
    Guy won!
I was being to gentle on my car, Guy said “wind er up to 6200,” I said “ I didn’t even look at my tach” lol. I ran a crappy 13.5
Second pass I let ‘er go to 6200, man she ran clean pulled GREAT to 6200, shoulda went to 6500 or 6800.
But after only 2 passes it was 9:30 already, they weren’t very organized.
But I had a heck of a good time!
Yes, Guy ran a bit faster than me BOTH times!!!!!

Great to meet ya Mark that was a great time ,we hung out with the Ford gang my brother and his two friends nothing but a fun time. Yeah I beat Mark the first round we lined up together. I thought he was going to pass me and I think he would have gotten closer but I think he was shifting a little early, I was shifting at 62-6300.
    Ran 13.41@100.6 mph did 82.66mph and 8.50 in 1/8
2nd round after long cool off we both ran faster with Demko at 13.35 and I ran a 13.28@101.53 8.05 in 1/8 @83.13 mph My 3rd rd I went 13.36@101.06 8.56 in 1/8@82.89 mph
Not bad for a motor that is now almost 30 years old on same build Only thing I changed was cam so I went faster than I ever did on motor. My old best was 13.31 way back in 2005. My 3rd rd I beat that newer 5.0 Mustang I put one of them down for ya Mark lol
The track was just taking way too long to start the cars too much stupid talking.
Mark will do better he just has to wing it out a little. we would be a great race together our times are very close I did rd 3 at 10 pm we got there at 5:30
    One hell of a time

    Way to go bud!

Yes it was a great time!!
I’m still learning, and it helps hanging out with friends like Guy at the track to get tips and tricks for sure!
She seemed to run cleaner and stronger on the second pass, on the first pass I thought I heard a bit of rattle from the engine (detonation)
How long does it take for 5 gals of 110 to mix with say 10/12 gallons of 93 in the tank, being I put the race gas in at the track before my first pass?

No spray this time but now I got to wonder what that will do on my 75 shot now since last time car was running 13.80 and the shot took me to 12.31
Would that 75 shot now knock off another second like with the old cam? That part I do not know but I guess I need to try. I will try at Quaker since that is where I ran 12.31 on Nos in 2020.

If anyone is thinking about buying or using the Dragy app with the piece you put in car the dang thing is dead nuts accurate, All of it through out the run.
    What a blast.
There was one guy there I know that had a very clean turbo set up and he is in the 9's, they were telling me it is less heat than using the Procharger that my brother runs. His buddy was reading my brothers computer and showing him how he needs better intercooler to bring down temps, and a bigger fuel pump.
There are 3 Fords running turbos in my brothers group and all are in 9's

You know we could easily run a turbo with the fuel injection on those bosses on the new intake run the computer with the set up.
Too bad that this was not done and taken to the track for further testing, just putting it on does not count, need results.
I bet that Mr. Super Bald Menace is going to make this happen, do not stop.

Hey Mark, the race gas may not have been quite mixed yet before your 1st run since the fuel pump would have to pump all the regular gas thru the engine before all the race gas got mixed in. I run electric fuel pump so I am mixed right away. BTW when I got home I had 1/2 tank left. So that was 2 hrs of driving at 70mph and 2200 rpm locked up on the convertor and 3 hard runs down the track. I know I am rubbing it in Mark :p :D
Next time mix the gas before you go I have it in all the time just for good insurance even if it might have a couple gallons. I got a good 1/2 tank left to go cruising around town.

They were just plain slow, When you came down the lines they were too busy telling people to go down the lines tighten them up, They guy at the end that puts your number in had to have you get right up to the cone he was bitching at Demko to move in closer and he was within 7 feet of the cone but you had to get right up to the cone they had there.
The burn out area did not have enough water to get the tires rolling They think we all have 800 hp motors that spin at will.

The card they gave you at the beginning had 3 lines on it and was predetermined you were only going to make 3 runs tonight and that is it.
So basically 10 bucks a run, I thought Quaker was bad at getting cars going, Norwalk had you moving very quick during time trials there was non of this screwing around like they did at 42.

Stop a few miles from the track(if you're driving it to the track) and put the fuel in. Should be mixed pretty good by the time you get there.

As long as you have a return line, the fuel should mix up fast. At an idle most of the fuel is returned to the tank.

Mark has all his air conditioning system in place still with the big belt going to compressor. I took all that weight off long time ago when it all quit working. That compressor weighs a ton plus driving that big belt. He drives it a little harder and better light he could take me
He is ready for Quaker now lol.

    Good idea!!

Good point, while in the staging lanes for the first pass I would roll forward then stab the brakes to jerk the car hoping to mix it up, but your point about most of the fuel being returned to the tank at idle I never considered, but it’s very true!

I’m always surprised at my fuel consumption, you’d think it would use ALOT full throttle down the track, but I had ALMOST 3/4 tank after I put the race gas in, after 2 passes I had slightly more than half tank, got home and have a bit more than a quarter tank.
BUT I had HEAT on the ride home lolol

Hell yeah let’s go to the track!!:D

Yes it does, especially waiting around in the dark, LOLOL, and it was getting cooler out.
Nothing beats the experience of going to the track tho, after my first pass before the turn off , I said HELL YEAH!

Made it to the track yesterday with the turbo car, only got one pass in and got rained out. Spinning halfway down the 1/8 mile….. buddy said it looked like it finally hooked after I was thru all the VHT sprayed on the track. I’m #81
