Engine Bay showing all the piping I've fabbed up. The new Cold Side pipe is 3/5 inches and has not yet been coated like the old hot side pipe and Intake Tube have been.
Rich I hope to have a set up like yours sometime soon. I have chassy ready. Just have to get going with a trans and motor. If you choose not to devolge to much about your set up, I understand. But if it's ok, I will likely have some questions for help in the future, if it's not too much of an inconvenience. Very Impressive !!! John. :TU:
Hey Jerry, It runs pretty good all the way through the RPM range. It would really love to pull beyond 6000, but the limiter keeps it from doing that (stock rods). My sixty foot in street trim is typically 1.75 to 1.90 depending on the track conditions which is why my ET is slow and my MPH is big. I have not had the car to the track this year, and I've been pushing 4 PSI more than any of my previous runs. If all goes well, I'll make it to the track this coming friday for hopefully a high 10 second pass before getting booted (no cage) on street tires, pump gas, stock rods, crank, block, heads, very drivable on the street (truely a street car). LOVE the setup, and after all this time finally got the tune NAILED. Thanks for the comments guys, don't mean to hijack the tread.
Bobb, You need to get that car much lower to the ground or its going to drift. Even if you put a front spoiler and a rear wing. By the way... I hear my old car is for sale  Later
John I figured on the spoiler in the rear and I did get out my GSX piece this summer but until we make a traction pass I will be ok o No: . I'm going to go out this next week end with some new programs for the MSD since I final have it some what figured out. I would liketo see an 8 second pass before we end the year. I know the power is there but 10.5 tires really make it a challenge to get it stuck to the track.
So about the block.... Whose got them? How much are they? And what is the lead time? If I cannot get an aftermarket block here soon, I will be putting a Chevy in my car because I am tired of dealing with my crutch Buick block. Blair
That's why you need to stop risking your life and either finish your tube car or test bed your setup in my car, like I've told you all year! :TU: No guesswork that way. Just turn up the wick to maximum boost....AND LET "ER RIP!! I'll even set the wheelie bars all the way down!!
I've been waiting about 4 years now. There are a few blocks out there, but I don't have any idea on a time line for more.
Ta Without starting a flame fest here, and I really am not trying to up set anyone here but all the BS aside you will not be able to phone Bull dog any time soon and order a block. I'm getting 3 from TA this winter, I believe they will start pooring feb or march but I'm not 100% sure on that only Mike at TA will be able confirm that........Chris
Hey Chris, Not trying to get you on a roll or anything :Brow: , but do you KNOW anything about what the status is on these things? I only ask because I assume you have some information that hasnt been publicly displayed. Does anybody that has an order been updated recently as to when they may receive a product? o No: How about the heads, whats going on with them? o No:
Can we please have just one thread about the Bulldog block that doesn't involve the same old BS of how it's never coming. Haven't we had enough of them? If you dislike Bradshaw and his block so much, why put yourself through all the stress of negative posting in EVERY SINGLE thread regarding the damn thing? At Indy ( and the MWC) I saw Bobb's car run, I saw the Bulldog block sitting between the frame rails in his car. I saw the block with the heads off. I saw Bradshaw walk through the Finishline camp carrying an aluminum block. I would say that qualifies that the blocks DO exist. Either that or Bobb and the rest of the Finishline gang must be pumping raw nitros or some hallucinogenic gas into the air to fool all of us that seen these things. Maybe they are not flying out of Bulldog as fast as any of us would like, but at least they ARE starting to trickle out. Until we see a TA block then it's as much vaporware as you seems to think the Bulldog block is. I'm not trying to slam TA, but I seem to recall a few years back Mike T saying that there was NO market for an aftermarket block. Now all of the sudden there is enough market for two aftermarket blocks? o No:
Not at all! 4 or 5 years later, 3 of the 20 odd orders are filled. This is like the boy that cried wolf too many times. All I want is a after market block or 3, I don't care if its bull dog or TA, Just bring the damn thing on! I was done with Dicks empty promises a long time ago. Most important thing here is, there is about 20 guys here with about $70,000 collectively tied up in this block deal, I would love nothing more than to be reading about all these guy's projects that are LONG over due. For the last two years I've been fingered out for speaking openly on here about this block fiasco, people attacked me last year and the year before, saying I didn't have a clue about what was going on with the BD blocko No: well here we are exactly how I called it 2 years ago. I answered Blairs question with the staight goods if you guys want to blow sunshine up his a$$ then go ahead ou: I could see you guys attacking me if I what I'm saying is wrong, sorry for not towing the lineou: I asked that it not turn into this, I DID NOT bash Dick I only stated that you would not be able to order one anytime soon, read into it what you want you will anyways ou: Chris
No stress here The BD block is almost as rare as the 4 bolt main block that buick built 36 years ago, I think I said enough in my post to stg1john. I answered Blairs question without bashing anyone. I read your post and can not understand how you got any of that from what I said ou: P.S Bobb is the man and no one can take that away from him :TU: Chris
What about the Bulldog heads? Any news/updates on them? Ive seen a few sets of Mopars at a shop in Indy. Was curious how the Buicks are coming along.
Chris I just want to make sure I have never blown anything up your rear have I. I can say with some degree of optimism that we will be seeing more very soon.
