Purchased new from Poston over 10 years ago and stored in my den ever since. All original bolts, drain plug and pick-up are included; never installed on an engine; absolutely no nicks, scratches, corrosion or other types of damage. This is not the girdled version, but it may help stiffen the sides of the block. The removable sump allows you to inspect the rearmost rod bearings for damage, and check the sump for metal shavings, etc., without removing the pan, I originally planned to build a 455-powered street rod or roadster with an open engine bay. My plan was to have this pan polished to a high luster (along with valve covers, intake manifold, custom air-cleaners, etc.) since it would be visible. Well, those plans didnt pan out". Instead, the engine (when finished) will find a home in my Skylark. So, I might as well sell it to someone who can put it to good use. The Poston oil pan is one of the very few trick-looking components available for the Buick 400-455 engines. This particular one could be the only new, unmolested example of the non-girdled version floating around out there. So, get it while its available. $300 plus UPS ground shipping/insurance (Sorry, no PayPal), or pick it up in person for $275 cash. NOTE: I'm also going to post this on craigslist in hopes of selling it to someone who's willing to pick it up. Not to worry, though: there's an acute shortage of Buick big-block owners here in So. Cal... Unfortunately.
I'll take it ---------- Post added at 02:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:30 PM ---------- How far are you from san diego
I Googled my ZIP code to San Diego and came up with a little under 100 miles. Oh, yeah... Obviously you're first in line. I won't be posting it on craigslist unless you cancel out.
