    1088 GS400 Coupes built at the Fremont plant in '68
    163 were painted code M at Fremont
    100 were made with code 7 vinyl top (not necessarily on cars painted code M) at Fremont

    06B (2nd wk June, 68)
    Body number 919

    Right near the end of the '68 build year

    Thanks for posting up the info Mike. I'm still curious what a Burnished saddle painted car with a buckskin vinyl top & all black interior would look like... I can see two of the three colors going together but the black interior kinda throws everything off. You would think the original owner would of ordered the vinyl top black to match the black interior or kept the interior brown to match the burnished saddle paint or ordered the interior in buckskin to match the top. Even though I dig the black interior I don't think it matches the rest of the car... IMO. Im all for keeping the car original but in my mind i just cant see it all going together. Does anyone on here have the same color scheme... Burnished saddle paint, buckskin top & black interior so I can see what it looks like?

    Nice find. Look forward to seeing the progress

    I'm in SoCal as well and have a 66 GS

    FYI, looks like you have the original BILL MURPHY BUICK" dealer plate frames on the car. Should you decide you don't want these please let me know (I'd keep em!)
