Does anyone know where to get a repro chrome AC brand oil fill cap to match these valve covers? Thanks, Ken
Someone, either here on on our email list, stated 81-84 Buicks have the correct cap but they have a black and white decal on them hiding the AC logo. I believe they are the V6 Somersets and another front wheel drive wonder! I will have to search the local yards this weekend and see if I can find some. Local yards here are flooded w/front wheel drive GM cars. I will also check other GM lines with the 3.3-3.8L Buick engines.
I was wondering if it is the same cap as used on 68-70 GTO chrome valve covers. maybe I should check the repro GTO vendor's sites. All I saw in my CARS catalog was the breather style used up to 67 on GM cars without closed crankcase ventilation. Thanks. Ken
There is a nice quality reproduction chrome '67-70 Pontiac valve cover cap, but it is not the same detailing as original. Perfect originals of the '67-70 Pontiac cap will bring $150-200 to high end Judge & T/A restorers. NOS chrome versions of this "style" cap that show up on e-Bay are usually the '77-79 Pontiac style. The style of chrome valve cover cap used on '80's HT4100 Cadillacs is another version all together...have several of those as well. When get back to warehouse & my master parts books, will post the Pontiac part numbers. Get time, will get some pics. :3gears: Roger
