Has anyone here.. used this Citr-Strip Paint Stripper. They sell it, at Lowes and Ace Hardware Stores. I saw a video on Youtube, that was Quite Impressive.

I have debated, whether I should have the Undercoating Removed or Not. This stuff looks like it would be a lot easier to use, Compared to other Strippers ...and without the Harsh and Dangerous Chemicals, usually used for this process.

I Have a car with a form of Spray on Rhino-Bed Liner. that was used as used Undercoating on my 70 Stage-1 Convertible. This was done by my Old Body Man at least 13 Years ago. He had just replaced all the Sheet Metal Flooring. from a Nice Donor Car.

We took the car back from Body man last June...and it awaits Completion of Frame Off Restoration.
I do plan to drive it, and enjoy it when it's Done.

Please ..Let me know your Opinions. Or ....if you have used this product for Removal of Bedliner.
    Thanks, Jim Jaeger

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I don't think that will work, but I have zero evidence.

Harsh and Dangerous Chemicals are how you strip paint/undercoating. You could use a heat gun and a scraper. Or leave it on. Its going to be tough if its bed liner, that stuff is made to stay on! I would leave it. Especially if you are going to street drive it! Is there a reason you want to strip it?

I agree with Bill, it also provides a sound barrier from the road noise as well as heat.

I agree on leaving it alone AND orange smelling “stripper” probably won’t touch it.

I have used D-Zolve 15-33R. (aircraft coatings remover).
Brushed it on, let is set for 1/2 a day, then pressure washed it.
5 gallons was about $100 shipped. Used it on quite a few projects and gave (remaining) half away when I moved.

Similar to Citri-Strip, and also "low hazard/mild/" and will remove high solids coatings, epoxy paints, powder coat, E-coatings and the like. Has good cling, slow evaporation time so it can work up to 48 hours.

After you apply it, cover the area with a plastic sheet to keep it from evaporating. You'll get way more bang for the buck that way.

95% of the time you can peel bed liner from the bed of a truck in about a hour.. In fact it peels just like a banana on a warm sunny day.

Hey Everyone,..Thank you for your Input on this Discussion. You All bring up Very Valid Points on this Topic.
I guess ..my concern was, for the appearance of a Quality Restoration. I had originally wanted to show that all the Flooring was Replaced..and not looking like I'm hiding any Flaws. I would like to maintain as much Value as possible on this Money Pit.
