Hello, I've been to this board before along with many other car boards. I just bought a 72,000 mile '65 Skylark hardtop coupe that I love! It's got an original 300-4V and Super Turbine 300. Hope you guys aren't mad, but I also own a '65 Mustang coupe that I also love. But anyway, I'm pretty mechanical, but new to Buicks, even though I've read a lot about them. So, you never know when I'll have a Buick question about my new toy. Can't wait to talk to you! This is a great site for Buick info. Thanks, Aaron
Welcome Aaron! What part of Michigan do you hail from? I'm a lifelong Michigander and I've been pretty much everywhere in the state. You 65 sounds like a fun little car. Put some pictures in the "members rides" if you have any. Talk to you later!
Welcome to the board Aaron! And you're right...this IS the best information source for Buicks!!:TU: :beer
Aaron, you should join the Michigan Buick Performance Club also known as the Michigan Chapter of the Gran Sport Club of America, check out our web page for an application at HERE Where are you located?? We have a member Sean Etson that runs a '64 Skylark with a 300 at just around 12 sec, he gets on here once and a while! He is always willing to help other 300 owners!
Thanks for the welcomes! I'm from Bay City... I see there's another Bay City resident here too. Have a good weekend all...I'll be out racking up miles on the Skylark!
I knew it Yesterday will drive to pick-up building materials here in Bay City I came across a old Skylark in a drive .If looked like it was just pulled from a barn or something. If I remember lite blue I think.Tried to recall where I saw it today but couldn't. You probly have heard of my small town famous uncle[Mustang Mel].
Nope mine's dark blue with a white roof...pretty darn clean too. I have done business with your uncle in the past, but not for a few years. It looks like his yard's cleaned out.
Yeah he's getting up there in the years.Still has a lot of stuff in the back house. Send me a PM and I would like to meet and look over your new toy.
Bay City Keep an eye out for the new Bay County Central branch library, Aaron - I have been priviledged to work on it's deign. I'm an electrical engineer, and I am finishing the lighting and power plans now. This will be a beautiful facility!
Dave, I'll give you a holler sometime this coming week to look at each other's cars. John, I live about 10 blocks from the library right now...used to visit all the time. Glad it's going to be nice.
