    Hey guys (and gals?),

My name is Joe. I own a 55 special 2dr sedan which I've had for 11 years now. I bought it my senior year of H.S. I run a dualquad 401" (soon to be 437"). It has homemade headers, a solid Engle cam (tiny ancient grind but is ok), a converted th400, and a olds/pont rear with 4:10's and a locker. (better than the 4;56 spool I ran in it for 5 years)

I use the car to irritate other drivers and scare old ladies mainly but occasionally I like to run tree huggers off the road to make room for my dinosaur jucie burning pig (6mpg with the carbs in 'on' position. it's either on or off right?)::grin:

I drive it most every day when it isn't snowing, I run old whitewall slicks and no wiper blades as vacuum blades are a joke with my set up and rainX works good enough.:pp

I still need to sort out my combo as the car has a hard time getting any traction and with a small cam and stock heads it lays down on the highend, but is polenty fun for street beatings.

Just wanted to give a little back ground on my self. I dig early style hotrods, kustoms and drag cars especially from the early 50's to the early 60's. I am building a 54 chevy 2dr for my wife with all late 50's Vette suspension and a v8, should be a cool family car for her and my two kids (Mary 1 1/2 years, Mikey 3 weeks).

    thanks for your time,

    Joe Nericcio:beer

 Joe you're going to fit in real good here, Welcome. Sounds like one bad:moonu: ride your driving.
Have you checked out the thread about the Picnic we're all having in Holmdel Park on June 7? Love to see some older Buicks there especially when they "got an attitude bout em"
I'll bet them ricers don't know what to make of you when you pull up next to em.:puzzled:

    Hey,

thanks for the invite but I don'y think I'll be able to make it though. I have the tranny out (second gear band is gone.) and I am trying to get some needed inner rocker repair done.

As far as ricers go- there are so many out here (CT) that I don't even bother unless I can run them off the road.

THere are not too many that are worth running here anyways. If I'm gonna risk a ticket, I'd rather it be against a car worthy:ei hot rof, street machine, muscle car.

Imports sound like a swarm of P.O.'d bees buzzing around. I'd rather just squash them.

    Thanks,
    joe
